Terms of use

1. Who These Terms Apply To

These terms apply to all patients, visitors, and users of services at Yatton Pharmacy and Ear Wax Removal Centre, whether accessed in person, by telephone, or through our website.

2. Our Services

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • NHS prescription dispensing
  • Private prescription dispensing

  • Private clinical services: travel health, earwax removal (microsuction), HPV vaccination, weight management, period delay, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, malaria prevention

3. NHS Services

Prescriptions: NHS prescription charges are set by NHS England. Exemption claims are your responsibility. Fraudulent exemption claims are a criminal offence under the NHS Act 2006.

Pharmacy First and NHS clinical services: These are free to eligible patients. Eligibility is assessed by our pharmacist at the time of consultation.

GP record notification: For many NHS services, including Pharmacy First, NMS, blood pressure case-finding, and vaccinations, we are required by our service contracts to notify your registered GP practice. This is a contractual requirement.

4. Private Services: Booking, Payment, and Cancellation

Pricing: Prices for private services are confirmed at the time of booking. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: publish a pricing page or insert confirmed prices here.] Prices may change, but you will always pay the price quoted at booking.

Payment: Payment is due at or before your appointment. We accept cash, card, contactless. Private prescriptions are charged at the market cost of the medicine plus a dispensing fee.

Cancellation: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Refunds: Medicines dispensed cannot be returned or refunded once they have left the pharmacy, in line with MHRA and GPhC guidance on the return of medicines.

5. Clinical Assessments and PGD Supply

Some medicines at Yatton Pharmacy are supplied under Patient Group Directions (PGDs) authorised by LK Consulting. A PGD is a written instruction that allows our pharmacist to supply a specific medicine to patients who meet defined criteria, without an individual prescription.

By accessing a PGD-based service, you agree to:

  • Answer all clinical assessment questions honestly and accurately
  • Disclose all current medications, allergies, and relevant medical history
  • Disclose any conditions listed as exclusion criteria for the service
  • Follow the pharmacist’s instructions on dosing, timing, and any required follow-up

Providing inaccurate or incomplete information during a clinical assessment puts your health at risk. We cannot be held responsible for adverse outcomes resulting from information you have withheld or given incorrectly.

Our pharmacist may decline to supply a medicine where exclusion criteria are met or where the assessment cannot be completed satisfactorily. This is a professional clinical judgement.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information during any clinical assessment
  • Disclose all current medications and relevant health conditions
  • Tell us about any allergies, including drug allergies
  • Follow instructions on how to take or use any medicine supplied
  • Contact us or seek medical attention if you experience unexpected side effects
  • Give adequate notice if you need to cancel an appointment
  • Ensure any NHS prescription exemption you claim is valid

  • We are not liable for the content of third-party websites we link to
  • Our liability for any claim is limited to the direct cost of the service provided
