Pharmacy First Service in Yatton

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that gives you direct access to healthcare support for a range of minor illnesses and conditions. Instead of waiting for a GP, you can speak to a trained pharmacist at your local pharmacy and get the treatment you need—quickly and conveniently.

This service is available to eligible patients and includes both advice and prescription medication where clinically appropriate.

Our pharmacists can assess and treat a wide range of common conditions, including:

• Earache (1–17 years)
• Infected insect bites (1+ years)
• Impetigo (1+ years)
• Shingles (18+ years)
• Sinusitis (12+ years)
• Sore throat (5+ years)
• Uncomplicated UTIs in women (16–64 years)
   

We’ll carry out a quick consultation, offer treatment if needed, and refer you to a GP or other service if further care is required.

Pharmacy First is available to anyone registered with a GP in England who meets the NHS eligibility criteria for each condition. You can access it by:

• Walking into the pharmacy
• Being referred by NHS 111
• Being signposted by your GP, dentist, or other healthcare professional

• Free NHS consultations and treatment
• No appointment necessary
• Fast access to expert advice
